“This year was a difficult test of our strength. However, despite everything, we stood firm and continue to fight – we contain the numerically superior enemy, maintain control over strategically important territories, control the western part of the Black Sea, and reduce the military and industrial potential of the enemy.”
O. Syrskis emphasizes that in 2024 the Russians paid the highest price since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. According to him, from 2022 to February the total losses of the enemy amounted to about 785,000 soldiers.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also noted that in 2024 the force of unmanned systems was created. He noted that these forces are gradually developing and increasing in size.
“We are working on the development of this very important component, which is necessary in the conditions of modern technological warfare,” A. Syrskis added.
In addition, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that compared to 2023, the supply of Ukrainian units with drones increased by 19 times, and the number of enemy targets hit and destroyed increased by 3.7 times. O. Syrskis also mentioned that in 2024 the terms of basic training of mobilized personnel were increased. He emphasized that good training is a condition for saving the lives of soldiers.
